Nice decor, friendly staff... but I didn't get a chance to try anything. I only get to eat one sweet treat a week( per my diet) and I was DYING for a plain old chocolate cupcake. Unfortunately by 1130a on a Sunday they were "completely out" of plain old chocolate. I was able to get one from another local bakery, which was enough to satisfy my craving. But I was really looking for something amazing in this very precious moment.I will try again this weekend...

Lukewarm. Couldn't get a basic sandwich right that was just above their heads on the menu. Had to come out twice. It was good when it finally came out though. Pastries very dry and crumbling. Coffee very acidic and hard to stomach. Expensive as well. Nowhere near as good as the 7th St location.

Good sandwiches though I feel they should offer fruit on the side. Get the cream cheese frosted cinnamon roll!! It should be illegal.

Best-tasting vegan foods. Several visually appealing vegan and non-vegan items I've seen in one place in Charlotte. Lots of variety and so many options. Vegan chocolate chip cookies are better than any chocolate chip cookies you've likely every had in your life! They should be called 'Best Chocolate Chip Cookies' and made way more often.

The food is delicious!! The wait is ridiculous! I was in line for 15 minutes, there were only three people ahead of me?? Why did it take so long?? The customer service was so-so. And all the tables had crumbs on them?? I'm hoping someone called in sick and they were just shorthanded, I'll definitely give this location another chance, but based on my experience at the dilworth location, I think this company just need to work out the kinks in there logistics.

Sunflour Baking Company has been serving the Charlotte area from our original location in Elizabeth since 2009, in Dilworth since 2016, and in Harrisburg and our new bakery in Ballantyne since 2017. The Parrish family took over the bakery in 2014 and embraces a love of baking, a passion for excellent service and a keen interest in contributing to the local community. Our team, both veteran and newly arrived, share these values and consistently strive to make our guests’ experience both delightful and memorable. We hope you’ll agree!

Our Ballantyne bakery just opened on Conlan Circle – across the street from Ballantyne Village. Come stop by today and enjoy a freshly made pastry like a croissant, Morning Glory muffin, or try one of our freshly made breakfast sandwiches (full menu). Need a treat for dessert or a gift? Our cupcakes in a jar are perfect. Even better you can order them online and get them shipped anywhere in the US.
